17th Annual Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge

Over 350 junior high students will attend the 17th Annual

Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge and FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competition

 

Over 350 junior high students from 30 will compete in the 17th Annual Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge (SCIC) on Saturday, November 23rd at College of the North Atlantic- Prince Philip Drive Campus.  Students will have the opportunity to compete in seventeen different trade, technology and employability competition areas such as Public Speaking, Computer Animation, TV/Video Production, Information Technology, Green Energy Challenge, Cake Design Challenge, and will feature the annual FIRST LEGO League Provincial Tournament.

The Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge will also feature a Try-a-Trade® & Technology Day that is open to the public and offers participation in a wide range of experiential, hands-on demonstrations in areas such as LEGO and underwater Robotics, Michael Neary Racing, Brilliant Labs Coding, 3D Digital Game Art and Design, Small Engine Repair, Electrical Installation, Cake Design, Plumbing, and more.

Try-a-Trade® & Technology Day is a component of SCNL’s 17th Annual Intermediate Challenge and will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at College of the North Atlantic -Prince Philip Drive.

Admission is free. No experience required.
