Skills Canada Newfoundland & Labrador
Skills Canada works to encourage and support a coordinated Canadian approach to promoting skilled trades and technologies to youth.
Our Mission
Statement
Skills Canada Newfoundland and Labrador is a non-profit organization that encourages youth to explore the growing opportunities in skilled trades and technology careers by offering an immersive approach to learning.
The new Youth Apprenticeship Summer Program (YASEP) is a 7-week wage subsidy program, pairing eligible employers with local students completing grade 10 or grade 11 who are interested in starting their apprenticeship in skilled trades. With the support of the provincial government this program will help youth to gain experience and hone their skills early on.
